The Founder

Bruce Alford

Bruce A. Alford is the founding attorney of The Alford Law Firm, PLLC, based in Dallas, Texas. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1987 and is admitted to all Texas state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Mr. Alford began his career in Washington, D.C., working in a political role before entering private legal practice. After returning to Texas, he worked with both large and mid-sized law firms before founding his own firm in 1992.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Alford has advised successful individuals, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses in a wide range of legal matters, including commercial disputes, corporate transactions, debt settlements, and complex financial litigation. He has been involved in numerous business transactions and corporate sales and has represented clients in many challenging commercial matters.

Through decades of working with business owners and investors, Mr. Alford developed a strong interest in the broader discipline of wealth protection—the intersection of estate planning, asset structuring, and financial security. The books in the Alford Wealth Protection Series reflect that focus and are intended to provide practical guidance for individuals and families seeking to protect assets, reduce legal risk, and preserve wealth across generations.

His practice today increasingly focuses on estate planning, commercial law, and transactions for small and mid-sized businesses, as well as advising real estate investors and entrepreneurs on structuring their affairs to support long-term stability.

Bruce lives in Texas with his family and is married with three children. Outside the practice of law, he is an avid traveler and automobile enthusiast and enjoys writing about the places he visits around the world.
